The world was shocked when Serena Williams, defending Wimbledon champion, was knocked out of the tournament in the third round by No. 25 Alizé Cornet. Still, her singles loss paled in comparison to how she left the tournament today during her second round doubles match with big sis Venus Williams.
During warm-ups, Serena's hand-eye coordination was seriously off. Then, when it was her turn to serve during the first set, she could barely strike the ball. Serena later shared that she suffered from a viral illness, but remained positive telling fans that she is looking forward to making her mark on the grass in 2015.
Serena is definitely a fighter - the fact that she even attempted to compete today speaks to both her love for the game and commitment to Venus as a doubles partner.
